If you install ZoomBrowser EX 6.1.1b, users of the following digitalSLR cameras should use EOS Utility. EOS Utility is an application forconnecting to EOS Digital cameras, controlling them from a PC, andtaking remote shots.

To users of ZoomBrowserEX2.x/3.x:
- In order to update to ZoomBrowser EX 5.8, it is necessarythat ZoomBrowser EX 2 or 3 is already installed on the target computer.
- It is necessary to transfer the database files as follows:If youwant to display the titles and comments added with ZoomBrowser EX 2 or3 on ZB 4 or 5, you will need to convert the database file used in EX 2or 3 for use with ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5 before using these applicationsfor the first time.
Please note that if ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5 is usedbefore this conversion, the titles, comments, sound annotationinformation added with ZoomBrowser EX 2 or 3 will be erased.
Instructions
- Fromthe Start menu, select All Programs -> Accessories-> Explorer to start up Windows Explorer.
- Open the Programfolder under the folder in which ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5 is installed.
- Double-click dbconverter.exe (or dbconverter) withinthatfolder.
- Specify the database file that you have been using andclick the Startbutton(Example: C:\Program Files\Canon\ZoomBrowser EX\Database\MyDatabase.zbd)
- When a message appears indicating that the databaseconversion is complete, click OK.
- Restrictions of Database FileConversion. There are restrictions regarding the folder under theProgram Files folder.
In ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5, folders under ProgramFiles folder are not displayed. Therefore the images within the LibraryOne folder, which was standard in ZoomBrowser EX 2 or 3, cannot beviewed in ZoomBrowser EX 4 or 5.
In order to view images within theLibrary One folder, please move the image files to a location outsideof Program Files using tools such as Windows Explorer.
Note: Pleasemove the folders after converting the database file. - RAW ImageConverter 1.x cannot be started from ZoomBrowser EX 4, 5, or 6. Whenconverting RAW images, please either start RAW Image Converterseparately or install File Viewer Utility.
- There is no longer a TWAINinterface in ZoomBrowser EX 4, 5, or 6. Please use ZoomBrowser EX todownload images.
- Windows Meta Files, FlashPix are no longersupported.
- The Time Tunnel viewer function has been eliminated.
- The360-degree viewer for panoramic images has been eliminated.
- Thefunction for displaying the camera owner’s name in slideshows has beeneliminated
